Dancing the Night Away!

This week at Veranda Park, we had a dance party with DJ Larry Willis, and enjoyed an elegant dinner with grilled filet mignon served with a cracked pepper red wine sauce, bacon-wrapped shrimp with orange glaze, and parmesan-truffle whipped potatoes- all finished off with your choice of house-made lava cake, chocolate fudge brownies, and caramel walnut cheesecake! Residents and guests danced the night away, and sipped their favorite cocktails while enjoying music from the 40’s, 50’s & 60’s.

The Veranda Park Travel Club is touring Central and Eastern Oregon this week. Residents will enjoy a 4 night/5 day trip focused on the beautiful area around Joseph, Oregon, also known as the “Oregon Alps”.  Over 4,000 feet in elevation, Joseph is one of the most beautiful and scenic places in Oregon. The trip will include fine dining, touring the Oregon Trail Museum, The Valley of the Bronze Gallery, and several local artisan shops. We will also take the amazing tram ride overlooking the Eagle Cap Wilderness, and stop at various sites around Wallowa Lake.

Also on the schedule this week is our new Thirsty Thursday cocktail hour in the garden room, followed by dinner and a trip to the Camelot Theater to see “The Sunshine Boys”. We will also be going to North Medford High School to see “Happy Days”. Stay tuned for next week’s events! We will be heading to Grants Pass for the Hellgate Jet boat tours, having a social with “The Swing Alongs”, and going to the Caberet Theater!
