Support the Children’s Advocacy Center and the Studio at Living Opportunities in our Annual Art on the Veranda event! The event is July 22nd 7-9 pm and will feature wine and elegant hors d’oeuvres by our Executive Chef Mansfield. You will have the opportunity to bid on the children’s paintings in the art auction. All proceeds go towards funding the Children’s Advocacy Center & the Studio at Living Opportunities!
This week at Veranda Park we are going on a trip to Seven Feathers to test our luck at the casino! Residents will be getting in shape for the summer with our Stretch and Strengthen, Tai Chi, and Exercise with Relaxation classes in our fitness room! We will also be featuring a Blood Pressure Clinic in the Wellness Center, and a Diabetes Clinic in Courtyard Hall to help our residents stay proactive in their health. Marshall Holman will be here speaking on his professional bowling career at our weekly Discussion Group this Wednesday, and Thursday starts our first “Thirsty Thursday Cocktail Hour!” Every Thursday throughout the summer, residents will be enjoying a refreshing summer cocktail in the Garden Room before dinner. Every week will be a different cocktail mixed by our resident bartender. We will also be enjoying an antique car show, and have a social in the dining room featuring the Korean Choir. We are ending the week with a surprise scenic outing to enjoy the beautiful summer weather!
